Last night when the nurse moved him his vitals went up a little bit and the RT (respritory tharapist) wanted to sudate him a little bit but Grandma Donna suggested just giving him some tylenol and repositioning him so that we wouldn't have to sudate him again. This was exactly what he needed. He must not had been very comfortable and just wanted to move again.

Cameron, Grandma Kim and myself all stayed at the hotel last night which was really good and we were able to get some sleep. There is just so much anxiety and stress that goes along with this whole thing that it makes it hard to sleep. But it has been such a blessing to be able to have the hotel and be able to get a little bit away but be close at the same time.

This morning he has been moving more then yesterday. His eyes are becomming more active and he is moving his arm, fingers, legs and toes more then yesterday. He is also coughing, gaging and sucking with his mouth which is amazing. They changed the settings on his ventinlator around noon so he is doing most of his breathing right now which is great. He is not quite at the point where we want to get him off it but we are getting there. It might take a day or two more before we are there.

I learned this morning that even though this is a very serious disease he will most likely only be on the antibiotics for 14 days. Just like any other infection. They will run tests at that point to make sure he doesn't need any more but that is most likely what will happen.

He is also recieving some more lasics (water pills) today to try to get his water ammount down because he is pretty swollen. The Physical Therapist also put some tape on his hand today to help with the swelling. It is the same tape that they use on football players sholders and other injuries that athleates can have.

Grandma Kim and I made a few little shopping stops at Target, Staples and Khol's earlier today. And Grandma Donna and myself will most likely go get our hair cut this afternoon to get some pampering which will be really nice. It is nice to get out and do some pampering and to do some normal things once in a while.

Every time I see the doctor in his room and I just walk into the hallway it freaks me out. Earlier today I was comming back from the cafeteria and that situation happened and he looked at me and said, "I can be in here just checking on him with nothing being wrong!" It made all of us have a good laugh.

Thank you for all of the prayers. Every day I read and hear of people praying for him and reading this. I aprechiate them all so much, we have had great comfort and peace!

Evening Update: One of our cute nurses has a friend who makes angel necklace pendants and she gave one to me, Grandma Donna and Grandma Kim. It was very sweet and I look forward to wearing it!

Tyson has been slowly weening off of the ventilator. It is still on it but he is handling the different settings it well. His lungs are being pretty clear and he will cough, gag and chew/sick on the tubing. These are all really good signs and things that we want to see.

We ask all of the doctors, nurses and other staff so many questions all the time. But they are all gracious and answer us every time. Tyson also touched his mouth/nose today along with other increased movement which is great. They will probably put soft risraints on him soon so that he doesn't pull his toobs out.

I was also able to hold Tyson in my arms today while the nurses changed his bed and I changed his diaper twice. It felt nice to be able to do those things again. Once his ventinlator and EEG are off they said that we can hold him a lot more which is so exciting!

That has pretty much been our day, just making slow and steady progress.
